Giving More Than a Meal: Cagayan de Oro Feeding Program

A warm bowl of porridge can do more than fill an empty stomach; it can remind a child that someone cares.

Our team in Cagayan de Oro served hearty champorado to a group of local children, bringing not just food but a sense of comfort and familiarity. Alongside the feeding, each child also received school supplies—writing pads, pencils, glue, paint sets, and simple bags—to help support their learning and creativity at home and in school.

These small items, while ordinary to many of us, represent a huge boost for children in communities where access to school materials can be inconsistent. It’s about removing small barriers to learning, one pencil or notebook at a time.

And just like that, with warm meals and tools for learning, we saw smiles that said more than words ever could.
